ABOUT THE ARTIST
A RECENT WINNER OF “BEST IN COMPETITION” FOR THE “ABSTRACTIONS 2014 EXHIBITION” AT EXHIBITIONWITHOUTWALLS.COM
Barry is an engineer, statistician, illustrator and contemporary artist. Early in school he showed high interest in art and technical drawing, and excelled in mathematics and analytical geometry. Barry has been developing his art for over 24 years.
First discovered by Copeland Fine Art Gallery of Columbus, Ohio, he remained resident artist there for the last 12 years. He combines his love for geometry, color, and the abstract to create custom fine art paintings, wood construct sculptures, and contemporary architectural pieces. His works have grown in popularity and can be found in numerous corporate and private collections locally and world-wide.
During the past 6 years, Barry has been working to perfect his development of computer art. Using software that converts mathematical recursive equations into colored shapes and lines, he morphs these fractal images into remarkable expressionistic images. Much computer art can only be seen on a computer screen or on small prints, but Barry has taken this out of its small computer box and is now offering a very unique group of very dominant wall pieces of fine art.
Early in 2014, in a worldwide online judging of fine art, Barry was included in the top 16 artists for final judging and received special recognition for his computer-generated artwork. In November, one of his images became “Best In Competition”. Barry’s images are quite unique and are paving a new direction in the development of digitally created images.
